Dimming the Charge 2 at night

Can the Charge 2 be dimmed?  

 

When sleeping, if I turn my wrist the watch lights up (very bright). Disturbs my sleep.

Hey @DRButler0, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! No, there is no way to dim the light on your Charge 2. If it bothers you at night, because it turns on when you move your wrist, you can go ahead and turn off this feature directly from your Fitbit account. In addition, take a look at this requested idea on our Feature Suggestions board and leave your vote and comments on it, so our team can maybe, take it into consideration in the future.

There was a feature request submitted back in 2014 - 6 years ago - to limit the screen turning on at night. The voting has ended with 7000+ votes.

 

Given the Fitbit is a health device, I'm rather dumbfounded that this issue - which affects people's *good sleep* - has not been fixed.

 

Is this a health company or merely a data tracking company?
