Disconnecting my account

I’ve given my Fitbit charge 2 to my son as I’m disabled and only used it to track my heart rate. How do I disconnect myself from it so my son can set it up as his own, on his android phone.

Hi @Lulibelle

Go to your Fitbit dashboard (website or on your mobile device) and remove it from your account. It will sever the link from your Fitbit to your account.

Nice of you to give the Fitbit to your son. He can set up with his own email address and password and he'll be good to go.

Best wishes to you.

I can see that now. I looked all over earlier and couldn’t work out how to do it.

Thankyou very much for your time in answering my question.

I've disconnected from my phone and it also doesn't show up on my laptop, but the watch is still showing me ("Good, Morning CAT!"). How do I "kill" the watch? Let it go dead? Or is there a hard resest on the watch itself?

Hi @cat0668

Not all the Fitbit devices will let you do a factory reset.

You want to keep using the Fitbit? Which one do you have?

What a nice thing to do for your sister!

Have her set up an account for herself, add the Charge 2 as a new device and select her own greeting.

Be sure you're out of range while she does this, about 25 feet or more.
