Display on Charge 3 won't work after swimming

I went to the beach and forgot to remove my Fitbit before getting in the water. I was maybe in for 30 minutes and even after drying my Fitbit in rice for over 24 hours, all it will do is buzz when I press the button. I tried connecting it to the charger and my laptop and got a smile face but nothing else. Display is not working and can't tell if it's charging or not. Did I kill it? I sync it with my Google Pixel 3a

Hi @ManDanM,

I have a feeling that the Charge 3 might be dead.  You mentioned that you were swimming at the beach, and the salt in the water could have corroded the battery.  I did the same thing with an underwater camera and wound up having to replace the camera.

Hello @ManDanM. Welcome to the community forums. @DramaQueenDiva Nice to see you around and thanks for your great input.

@ManDanM Thank you for the detailed information and for the steps you've tried prior to posting. At this time, I'd recommend some troubleshooting steps that can be found in this help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

If that doesn't work, then I believe the Charge 3 device has stopped working and my best recommendation is that you please reach out to our Support Team for further assistance. Note that you can contact them through chat or over the phone and you can click here to get connected. Also, make sure to explain the inconvenience and the troubleshooting steps you've followed, this way they can assist you from there.

See you around.
