Displayed name retains unwanted letters

I changed my first name legally, from a 5-letter to a 4-letter name, but my Charge 2 (or the app, whichever is really in charge of this) won't forget the last letter of my old name, so the device wakes up showing my first name plus a letter A on the end of it. I've tried editing my name in the app and adding trailing blanks to try to overwrite the A, but presumably the software removes trailing blanks before saving the name.

How do I make it lose that A? This feels like a firmware issue.

Hi, @womandrogyne , I would suggest changing this info in the web based program.  There is a link on every page when you are logged in to the Community forums.  On the top left choose "Dashboard" and then go to "settings" from the drop down menu.  There you can change your name.

Be sure to sync your Fitbit once you have made the change.  Let us know if this works.

@womandrogyne   Your thread caught my eye, too.  I looked at your public web profile page.  That name is correct!  This might be an app issue -- which app do you use -- Android, iOS or Windows?

I'm using the iOS app on an iPhone X. I'll have to leave off the fitbit for a while before it'll trigger the greeting text again, so I don't know yet whether resaving my name in the web interface made any difference.

Old screen name: PADMA
New screen name: LJOS

Renaming myself through the website didn't fix this. I'm assuming either a software or a firmware bug.
