Do I need my phone to track GPS exercises with Charge 3?

I got Fitbit Charge 3 and I installed Strava and i wanted to sync the data on the run I made on the fit to Strava.

I had turned on the GPS on my Fitbit thinking it would be turned on whole time but I think the connection lost as soon as I stepped outside my house for running. Does Fitbit requires to have phone with you while running?

It’s really stupid whoever made this. Plus it only shows all other details but not the map of which I had ran. Plus I can’t sync the info in the Strava because there was no GPS signal.

Can anyone help me to sync please?

It's great to see you here, @Natrulz86.

I am sorry for the delay in response. Regarding your inquiry, yes, you need your phone to track exercises with GPS since Charge 3 doesn't have built in GPS.
