Does Fitbit Charge 2 lose ability to track sleep over time?

During the first year of ownership, I had no issues with sleep tracking. For the last year and one month, however, the Fitbit charge 2 has intermittently stopped tracking detailed sleep. In the beginning, it was once every few weeks or so and now it’s about four days out of every week. I am not doing or wearing the Fitbit any differently. Does the Fitbit decline in its ability to track sleep over time? Is there anything I can do? I have the most updated software for both Fitbit and Apple iPad. I wear this more for sleep than activity tracking so I am rather disappointed.

@Romiekin2 Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear that your tracker isn't recording your sleep. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you. I’ve just reset the device which I hadn’t done previously. Fingers crossed!
