Don’t buy Fitbit charge

Hi.

I have used charge 3 for three weeks and the only thing I can say is: Don’t buy it. Worst money spent ever.

To the issues then:

- sleep is not automatically tracked, for four days now - one of two reasons I wanted charge 3. My rest heart rate therefore is inaccurate;

- I understand limitations of the wearables but why it counts steps (floors even) when I am on the turbo trainer even though excercise mode is on? Also do not take shower or you will get 200 extra steps for washing your head, unless that’s your goal;

- display is lagging (analog time face, scrolling up and down, left and right);

- you can't track water or calories intake from device. Why would you need a wearable if you need a phone app to adjust everything/anything?

- SpO2 sensor that doesn’t give any readings;

24/7 hr monitoring is the only charge 3 function i am satisfied with (beside rest hr), but I can get it on 20£ xiaomi band.

Just to be clear, I tried all the solution given by the Fitbit moderators and users with similar issues. Restarting device with charger plugged in, restarting my phone, reinstalling app etc. and it haven’t solve any of my problems.

Concluding my post, don’t buy the 130£ toy. At no point charge 3 is a fitness band, it’s device showing you random numbers on which App you have to adjust manually all your scores, so they make sense when tracking your fitness. It’s a waste of money and other bands can do the same for much, much less. Me charge goes to bin.

Cheers

Obviously, Charge 3 is a complete disaster.

I have bot it because my two close friends liked their Altas and I have tried it for one day, but I wanted waterproof. Score and reviews were perfect. Fitbit promissed same as Alta but much better. All lied.

The thing is rubbish. Apart from not syncing to my devices for **ahem**s sake, I went out and bought an Ipad it was still **ahem**. Do not buy a Fit bit. The strap broke also after about a month. Not up to the Job advertised. Avoid at all costs.

My Fitbit Charge 3 worked fine for 18 months. I never had it in water until the 18th month and it failed in 2 days. This device cannot handle water and it is supposedly rated to 50 meters depth. Now that's funny. And then Fitbit said it was past a year so no replacing it for free eventhough it was the first time in water. Obviously not a good company backing up their device that cannot handle water when they say they can handle it. Don't be fooled do not buy this device.

So I’ve had my Charge 3 since beginning of August 2020. Haven’t been happy with it at all.

-step count is inaccurate

- connects to iPhone GPS, but always, ALWAYS adds more distance than what I’ve done

- Screen is too dim to read outdoors while doing activity

- can’t read the HR outdoors during activity because the screen is sooooo dim

What I’ve gone and done is purchase a ‘watch’ from another company.

- step count is accurate

- has a built-in GPS which is accurate

- shows HR while doing activity

AND I can READ THE SCREEN OUTSIDE!!!

Cost the same as the Charge 3. Sorry Fitbit, but if I had this to do over again, I would purchase the other brand.
