New problem over the past two days. I complete a workout and check it on my Fitbit which seems to register the right calorie burn. However when I download the data to the iPhone app the calories shown are dramatically lower. How is that?

@Jmasci Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Which exercise were you doing when you noticed this happening? Was it for a period of time or for a full day? Could you share screenshots of wht your dashboard shows against what your tracker shows (try this before syncing your tracker after you have completed an activity). This may happen when your information is uploaded to the Fitbit servers and analyzed (similar to your sleep data). The servers will take into account not only your heart rate detected by your tracker but also the activity mode and your personal data (age, height, weight, gender, etc.) to properly calculate your caloric burn.
Let me know how it goes!

Same thing is happening to me, the calories in the app are a lot higher than the ones the watch shows. I only wear it to workout, not during the day! I select the type of workout (treadmill and workout) are the two main I do everyday.i have re-started and reinstalled the app and the problem has not been solved.
