I'm not sure if I am going crazy, but I feel asleep on the couch for a couple hours and when I woke up my arm was hurting and I noticed a burn mark underneath where I was wearing my fitbit. Its on the side of my arm which at the right angle could have been thin enough to breech the electrical contacts, and its got two blisters about the same distance apart too.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Hello @Frankbert
That's not good.
If you have had your Fitbit for a while, it could be your sweat reacting with particles of dirt or a chemical creating the reaction.
If you think it could be the above that caused this, you could wear it on the other arm for a while till it heals.
If your device is new to you, you may be having a reaction to the nickel metals that Fitbit uses
At any rate, contact Fitbit customer support for further instructions.

Hi ACG,
I've been wearing the fitbits for 2+ years, but this one is probably about 6 months old. I have occasionally had the rash which would go away after a quick isopropyl wipe, but this is definitely a burn. It stings like a ***** and has now blistered up into one big blister.
I have started wearing it on the other arm though, it is a strange thing to have happen.

My irritation was similar but not as bad. I was working with chemicals for lawn care, thinking it was a bit of lime dust that got under my band and mixed with my sweat that caused a reaction.
You did the right thing by cleaning your band
Get better my friend.

I was shocked by my fitbit while sleeping and actually have burns from the electrical shock. I thought I had a bad dream when I suddenly awoke to the sensation of an electrical shock, then in the morning when I took off my fitbit the burn mark was clear around the metal clasp and then in the shape of the wrist band going around one side of my wrist. There is something wrong with the fitbits. This is a relatively new one for me only 6 months old and as I cannot wear it during work due to the blue tooth capability, it is not exactly getting over used. This is my wrist today after the shock 4 days ago as I slept. You can see it moved down the one side of my wrist from the initial clasp burn.
