Excercise steps not being included in daily step count

Need some help. On Thursday I ran almost 3 miles and my total step count was close to 8K when i finished. Then i synced and my total dropped to waht it was before I ran. I ended the day at 4959 steps when it should have been over 12K steps. On the Tuesday before that I ran and the same thing happened. I called fitbit and he said anyone with the "excercise" option will have their excercise steps NOT included in their daily total so it doesnt confuse inforamtion. he had me log in and make it so it doesnt automatically pick up my excercise and this fixed the problem but now i cant see my heart rate or details on my work out...This just doesnt seem right.... anyone else experience this?

@jennyfromthebox Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Have you checked on the online dashboard? Go to Log > Activities > Details and all the heart rate and general details should show. I left a picture below showing how it looks.

Check that out and let me know if it shows the details! Smiley Very Happy
