Exercise mode not recording after unprompted logout

Sunday, July 31 at about 10:30 AM Eastern US I tried to use my fitbit 4; exercise tracker. It was asking me to login, I didn't remember my password and was out and about so I submitted a request for a new one several times. Finally I got the Fitbit apt to work on my android, went to the tracking menu for walk, GPS was recognized so I started the tracking mode. Yet repeatedly it has not tracked several of my walks today. When I'm finished my walks I paused and stopped the exercise mode, but the miles I traveled were not recorded in my exercise, but otherwise the mileage and steps were counted in the overall stats. For some reason it doesn't saving my exercise starts. Please help resolve this issue. To the best of my knowledge I didn't log out, so has the app glitched, or is it a malicious hack? Thanks.

Now I see a walk recorded that I did after I got home. However there are several other walks earlier today that were not counted in the walk exercise category. I was in an areas I don't typically walk and wanted to know the mileage and wanted to show on the maps.
