I've recently upgraded from the charge hr to the charge 2. However I can't get it to track my exercise properly. Its not showing my heart rates for the exercise session now like it did with my charge hr. Is this the model or is there a nack to it?

It's nice to see a new member around, welcome @Cat94! I'd like to start saying that your tracker can have difficulty finding a signal, typically due to the tracker's fit. For example, wearing your band tightly may constrict blood flow in your wrist and affect the signal. We recommend experimenting with how high you place the tracker on your wrist. When you're not exercising, wearing the tracker just above the wrist bone--as you would a watch--typically works fine. However, moving the tracker up a couple inches can be helpful during high-intensity exercises or exercises that cause you to bend your wrist frequently. If you haven't already done so, please review our recommendations for wear and other tips shared by @SantiFitbit.
If you're wearing the tracker correctly and the heart rate setting isn't turned off, try changing the setting (either Auto to On or On to Auto) and then syncing your tracker. The change won't take affect until you sync. If heart rate doesn't seem to start tracking correctly, try restarting your tracker 3 times in a row.
Let me know how this goes!

Same thing is happening for me, but I think it’s an iOS app issue. I’m using an Ionic. HR is recorded all day, but the HR data is not showing up in the Exercise data window.

I am having the same issue with Charge 3. It did not record HR data in today’s exercise.

My Charge2 also stopped recording HR around the 28 of July. It still records the HR continuously.

I have a charge2 and am having the exact same issue. HR fails on activity (bike ride). Worked fine until July 27th!!! This is the only reason I have a Fitbit. Please fix.

Yes. This is the same for me. The software App receives the HR but is not reporting the HR in some part of the app. This issue arose around 28th july too.
I found many chat threads on this same issue.
I have reboot the tracker.. reinstall the App.. resynch the tracker...its the App.
Is there only one App developer working on this ?

I also have a Charge2 and am having the exact same issue. HR not logged separately on activity. Worked fine until July 29th. Please fix.

I am having the same issue. I am trying to set up the device on my new phone. I have tried every step. The app recognizes the device but on the pair page I see 4 boxes that are empty and the device will not pair. It is beyond frustrating. This worked fine before and now it does not. My phone is a Samsung Gslaxy 9+

I have similar symptoms on my Charge 3/Android, starting sometime after 26 July. Runs before this correctly show my heart rate, runs after this do not. I have been starting each run by entering the app log activity screen, then the tracking tab.and starting to record from there.
I also record tennis sessions by manually adding then afterwards, using the log previous tab. These still correctly show my heart rate.
In in both cases I can always get to my heart rate using the standard heart rate view function.
So like others I think the app has changed either on the device or at the server.

No longer getting heart rate information, when tracking a walk or run.I am using a Charge 2, and always got it in the past. This started around the end of July.

I have noticed that GPS tracked exercise since at least 29 July will not have heart rate data in the activity log; any other auto-detected exercise (eg walk) will have HR "logged" to the exercise. HR is recorded all day, just not associated any more with a GPS logged exercise activity.
Fitbit - you broke your app, fix it!
