I've recently upgraded from the charge hr to the charge 2. However I can't get it to track my exercise properly. Its not showing my heart rates for the exercise session now like it did with my charge hr. Is this the model or is there a nack to it?

I think now I've had it with Fitbit so no Charge 3, HR or whatever for me, I will switch to the new Polar Ignite which has integrated GPS and more extensive functions.
Also before my Charge 2 I had a Polar M400 and in my experience their client service is way better than Fitbit's so goodbye Fitbit and good luck with your business.

Polar, Garmin, Samsung even Huawei... all options with Fitbit possibly going the way of Nokia?
Honor Band 4 - buy 5 of these and still have change before getting one Charge 3.
Think about it Fitbit.
And straight from the Fitbit website:
your website Fitbit!
If you advertise functionality, you better make sure it exists!!! Getting pretty sick and tired of all the nothing from Fitbit. How about getting more than the summer intern working on a fix?

Hello everyone, thanks for your participation in the Community. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I appreciate the time that each of you took to share the details of the issue, the troubleshooting done and your experience. Thank you for the efforts to resolve this, sharing the solutions and tips to help other users. I understand that this can be very frustrating and appreciate your feedback. We’re currently working to resolve this issue and hope to have a fix soon. I am sorry for any trouble, I appreciate your patience and understanding.
As some users mentioned, using the auto-recognized feature or the Exercise app without GPS to track your exercises, should show your heart rate. Let me know how it goes.
I'll be around.

Liliyafitbit - I'm afraid this really is not acceptable.
Its been nearly a month with this problem, and you are just repeating what you said a week ago.
Either FIX IT or tell us it isn't going to be fixed

Same issue and linked to app upgrade.
Exercises logged via the app do not contain heart rate
exercises auto detected by the tracker get the heart rate
all day heart rate is also available.

Possible work around until fix is out...
Start tracking using the button on device not log within app. Connected GPS and other data still works and heart rate data also is captured. I prefer in app tracking, but this work around will provide the data until fitbit gets a fix released.

I agree. I like tracking with the app for the same reason. It never occurred to me to use both simultaneously. I'll give that a try tomorrow. Thanks.

Any word on a fix? If I set it off on the watch heart rate shows but I’ve got the upgraded Strava for heart rate data and that doesn’t pull it through like that 😓 really frustrating now !

My Alta HR is not logging my heart rate whilst running. I log the run but my HR does not show in the run details. However, my HR is being logged during my general day.
this stopped about a month ago, how can this be corrected?
regards

Welcome to the therapy room - the only good thing is we are not alone - the only people who don’t care are Fitbit.
Many Thanks

Upgrades should be improvements not omissions.
My running sessions are blind without this feature working and, no, I am not turning off GPS tracking as a work around.
Fitbit,
Is this on your QA Department or are you about to charge for the feature?

I know you probably don't need another voice to this forum, but I thought I would add my two cents worth.
Same issue, same frustration and find the fitbit responses appalling to be honest. I would expect them to be working day and night to resolve and be providing daily updates at least.
Looks like another company about to learn the hard way about ignoring customer service.
So disappointing ...

I downloaded a new update, version 3.4, yesterday. I have not had a chance to check out if the update has fixed the software glitch (which dropped heart rate data for workout/exercise sessions initiated from the phone app, as opposed to the device app).

Are there updates?
Can't Fitbit just re-deploy the old (working) version?
It's more than a month this fundamental feature was broken.
