Expected Life of a Charge HR?

So the last few days my CHR battery will only last 1 day.  I thought I had done something wrong so I was sure to give it a full charge.  Still, the battery was dead in 1 day.  I think I've had my HR about 3 years.  So, it's a paper weight now?

Rechargeable batteries do have a life span.  A lithium rechargeable battery, such as in the Fitbit HR, have a average life span of 2-3 years from when it was manufactured.  In addition, during that time it can be recharged hundreds of times.  But with each discharge/recharge cycle it losses a small (very small) fraction of its charging capacity.

Your options are to recharge it nightly.  A new Apple or Android Wear watch will only last a day or so on its new battery.

Or buy a new model.  The Inspire HR looks very nice.  It doesnt count floors though.
