My wife's Charge 4 broke about 1 month after the warranty expired. The little adapter that holds the band on came loose which caused the band to disconnect intermittently. We called Fitbit support. To make a long story short they offered a 35% discount on a new Fitibit device. Unfortunately the discount did not apply to a Charge 4 new or renewed and the fine print said it also didn't apply to the Charge 5. Basically their offer was worthless. We offered to pay to have it repaired or to purchase a renewed Charge 4. Neither options were available. It seems that when the wrranty expires the device becomes scrap as far a Fitbit is concerned. We've never purchased anything from a comany that would not support (even at cost) a product after 1 year. I'd be interested in hearing experience from others.

My fitbit bracket that holds the band broke also. I’ve only had my Fitbit charge 4 for approximately 13 months. It sounds like a defect with all of the same complaints. Was so excited to get the Charge 4 and now I’m so disappointed that they are not replacing them since it appears it is a defect in their product.
