Feedback about the new app design

I’m now feeling a bit frustrated as I had my last post moved to the request to choose older versions of the dashboard. Which wasn’t my feedback at all.

Im in UX and been a creative director for the last 20 years in design. I was simply saying that the new direction Fitbit seems to be taking in its design to dumb down the look has made me feel less engaged in the app. I’ve talked to others and they are saying the same thing. They feel like the sophistication of the app is disappearing.

Obviously it’s not. But a good example of this is the latest change to the sleep function. A new function has been added to tell me how good my sleep is. But I have no sophisticated data to compare exactly why Fitbit thinks my sleep was good or not. Where’s the data?

I check my sleep chart every morning, but was frustrated to see it downgraded today and just this 80% sitting in the top of my screen and my charts down below. I want real information that I can dive into, understand and compare.

It it feels like Fitbit is taking steps backwards lately in its image. It’s starting to feel like I just have a bells and whistles step counter like in the old days. Not the great sophisticated product that it has evolved into.

Please dont move my post into a request to change back into the old one again. That’s not what I’m asking. I’m raising with Fitbit that there are lots of users out there like me that want to easily access the more complex data quickly and with the minimum number of clicks on our phones.

@LydiaPack, welcome! It's good that the community is growing!

Thank you for your inquiry. Currently this isn't possible but you can share your idea and feedback on how to improve the Fitbit app in our Feature Suggestions board. Search for the idea first to see if one already exist so you can add your vote. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes.
