Firmware update silent alarm issue

My Charge 3 went through a firmware update today (v20001.88.11) and now there isn’t an option to set a silent alarm. During the update it said that they would be deleted and I’d have to reset them but that option isn’t anywhere that I can find it now.

Entirely agree. It's a regressive update.

The inability to set multiple alarms using the app is really disappointing and makes me want to get a different wearable- bad move Fitbit!!!

I was late for the first time in my life to an appointment because my alarm didn’t go off. I wasn’t sure why. Maybe I shut the alarm off and went back to sleep. Then today when I had to get up for work again the alarm didn’t go off. I installed the update today and find out the function is removed from the app?!!! This is NOT good since the face of my Fitbit died on me but still tracked. Now I need to purchase a new devise JUST to use the alarm. This completely baffles me why we are moving backwards with tech.

Well, today my alarm didn't go off. I know I set it correctly.  Maybe it didn't sync. So, your not alone. It's beyond why me why removed it from the app.

Also agree. Setting the alarms on the Fitbit instead of the app gives me no confidence. I set them at 10pm at night for 630am and it says “today” instead of “tomorrow”. I have slept late for work three times in the past week due to this issue because it doesn’t go off and the alarm was the main reason I have this thing. Back to my clunky alarm clock that wakes up the baby. Very frustrated. I hope they bring back the app dashboard option quickly!!!!!

YOU ARE THE BEST - NO WHERE DID ANYONE TELL ME TO SWIPE LEFT!   it stinks they took if out of the app - but thank you for your info.  I was ready to chuck this out the window.

Best Answer

Sorry, but according to Fitbit they do not plan on addressing the issue anytime soon.

You're a hero...thanks! That is so helpful!

Agreed !!

I think they’ll rethink this once their participation numbers begin to decline. Their sales will suffer too. Could take a couple of months but I think it’ll happen. Personally I don’t plan to buy another Fitbit until this problem is resolved and I’ve been a Fitbit user for many years. I’ve bought my last one unless they wake the hell up. ☹️

I hope so, but from everything I’ve read, I doubt it.

I had multiple alarms saved in the app for different days of the week and different work schedules.  So easy to pick from the menu and activate of deactivate.  I guess the solution is:

1: Unlatch band

2: Drop in sock drawer

3: Buy a Garmin

Something tells me that when enough people demand the return of this feature they'll add it to a 'premium' paid subscription.

Also stopped activating the clock when you roll your wrist.  Now takes both hands to check time while driving or running a tractor.

Actviting the clock when you roll your wrist still works. I know mine  still works.

Best Answer

Yeah, mine does to. Roll the wrist and the clock displays. Still pissed about the alarms though. 😊

I found out I can set my alarm from the Fitbit, but every day it shuts off and I have to turn it back on every night. Also the snooze button is gone. Now when I wake up at 4:30 and hit the watch to snooze for an extra 10 minute no more alarms go off unless I set the one on my dresser and wake up my wife.

We had an acronym for this “update” in the 60s military. FUBAR (Effed Up Beyond All Recognition) 😂

Best Answer
Yes, I know it well. However, unlike the military that for the past 50
years has been voluntary I paid to have this FUBAR'd. . .

It's been a few weeks since I set my alarms, but you should be able to scroll down after you've set an alarm to a repeat option. When you tap that it lets you set the days or every day that you want it to repeat. As far as the snooze, I have no idea since I don't need that one. Good luck. This has definitely been a step back in an effort to move forward. Hopefully, it will be recognized as such ... soon.
