I talked to customer service. You have to plug your FB2 into it's charger making sure the little button is in the opening. It will shake and the battery will appear.  Hold the button for 4 seconds and you should see the FB logo and it will shake. This should reset your FB2 after midnight tonight.  Good luck!!

That's called a restart, and is a good first step to try for any problem with any tracker model.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you so much for your post! I was smart enough to actually try the reset before I saw your post and it worked. I was also able to re-sync it with my LoseIt app so all is well! For now...

@JohnnyRow  nice to see you around and thank you for your posts and information, as well as for the clarification about the restart.

I apologize for the delayed response.

As @JohnnyRow  already mentioned, the situation could have been caused due of the  Daylight Savings Time.

I'm glad to hear that for some of you, the issue has been solved.

For those, whose tracker has not reset yet, please try to restart the tracker and wait until tomorrow, and let me know if you are still need support.

For everybody here is a solution on how to negate the "extra" steps recorded while the tracker didn't reset. Please do as follows.

1. Sign into your Dashboard and click the 'Log Activity' icon from the menu at the top of the screen.
2. Select the date or dates in question.
3. In the activity menu, type in "Automobile or light truck (not a semi) driving" and enter the time and duration of time that you were you see more steps.
4. Click "Log Activity." You will see the steps, calories burned, and other data decrease for the time period specified.

You can continue this process on all the dates in question to decrease your steps, calories burned, and other activity data.

I'll be expecting your replies.
