Fitbit 4 plastic nub that sticks out from the actual Fitbit has broken

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The plastic nub that sticks out from the actual Fitbit 4 (and into which the band attaches) has broken, making the device unwearable. It's not the band itself, it's wide, black plastic nub that slips into the removable watch band that has broken.

Is this something I can get warranty on? I bought the fitbit on November 25, 2022.

Thanks,

Hung

My plastic nub just broke yesterday however apparently my Charge 4 is barely off warranty.  I am looking for the actual date I purchased it ( This was my 3rd Fitbit Charger after Charge 2 broke and I bought the slimmer Inspire and I thought I had purchased it within this last year. Really liked the Charge 4 (except can't see screen outside).  Now this Charge 4 maybe lasted a bit more than a year.   You should still be under warranty.  Hopefully Fitbit will replace.  For me, Fitbit is offering a 35 % discount but I think the discount is off of their retail price & doesn't include shipping or taxes & I don't see that I can purchase another Charge 4 as it looks as though the new Charge 5 has replaced the Charge 4.  I am thinking about the Charge 5 for replacement.  Thanks for sharing your issue.  With the old Charge 2 it used to be the band that would break but at least that could be replaced-not a good design to have a plastic nub that warrants the FitBit useless when the nub breaks and perhaps this was a common issue.  Seems you were lucky to have it break before the warranty is up. Will be curious as to what Fitbit offers

I am on my second fitbit charge 4 and this happened to both after less than a year! Both broke off after only 6 months. Charge 5 apparently has same problem. I only keep getting Charge 4 for the altimeter which they removed from Charge 5. I do not know why they cannot fix the flaw in design. Frustrating.

I’ve had issues with the band periodically popping off of the upper end of my Charge 4. Today, though, when it popped off and I couldn’t reconnect it, I realized that the plastic nub broke, so now it’s useless. I chatted with someone on their chat line, who said they’ll let me know in the next 24 hours what they can do for me. We’ll see. I’ve been a faithful Fitbit wearer from the very beginning, so I hope they can help me!

Same thing happened to me. I rang customer service who said it would be replaced as it was under warranty. I received an email asking for photos of the damage before a decision could be made so I took a couple and sent them off promptly. Two weeks later I’ve heard nothing else, not even confirmation that they received the email so I have no idea what’s happening.

Great Equipment but just a scrap because of it strap. Looks like a design flaw and Fitbit only trying to push replacement tracker with a discount and not arresting the actual issue. All the models had similar strap issues.

I had the same problem. I spoke with a girl name Stefany and she told me it was under warranty. She gave me instruction on what I should do with a reference #. I also got a confirmation email. I did everything that was instructed of me. To date I have not heard anything. It’s been 8 weeks. How long it it take to replace my Fitbit.

Thank you for your reply. They sent me a 35% discount code that would be
valid for 30 days& it turned out to be useless. I tried to purchase a new
one on the Fitbit website. When I tried to checkout the Fitbit website
wouldn't let me check out & pay the 97.00 which was a 35% discount from
their retail price of 147.00. The website had the Fitbit on sale for
119.00. I understood that the discount code would not apply to the sale
price but retail. When I called support the support person said I had to
wait til the Fitbit would no longer be on sale (which was in mid Sept- a
bit more than 30 days). After spending hours I gave up. I decided to give
Fitbit one more chance & went to Best Buy & purchased a new one which was
on sale. Fitbit used to be better than this current experience I had. It
looks as though they no longer make the Charge 4.--
