Fitbit App on Android phone doesn't connect via Mobile Data

When I go to look at the Fitbit App on my Samsung Android smart phone it says no network connection.  If like me you are walking you will not have a WiFi connection.  But there is usually good mobile data coverage in the areas I walk.  My phone can work with 3g/4g/5g.  I have set my phone to use mobile data generally if no WiFi connection.  Virtually all my other apps will use mobile data in the absence of WiFi.  For a FitBit for exercise or walking/cycling surely it should be able to use mobile data and let you look at the data on the App on the phone.  The fitbit is communicating data I assume from fitbit to phone via Bluetooth so whats the problem?  Any ideas/advice.  Would love to look at the app when not in WiFi.

Hi, @grahamm7! Sounds like it's some kind of setting on your phone. I have a similar setup and don't have the same issue. Maybe check the app settings and permissions?

On Data Usage I have set Mobile Data to Access the Internet through your mobile network.  Just about every other app Google etc.. are happy to access data over the 3G/4G/5g Network.  This is on a Samsung A42 phone.  There is is another setting set apps to always use mobile data even when your phone is connected to Wi-Fi.  I asked the FitBit forum as I thought there might be a setting for the FitBit app to allow it to use mobile data?  When i tested it was sitting in the middle of town outside so would be good mobile data coverage.  So why is FitBit app (android) on my phone not connecting via mobile data?  Any idea forum?  I am a pretty experience user of Windows and Android Smart phone but can't figure this one out.

When I am away from WiFi connection the FitBit app says no Internet connection.  Doesn't seem to connect via Mobile Data.  Phone has 3g/4G/5g mobile data.  I have enabled the Samsung phone to use mobile data when no WiFit.  Did post this on the forum but one user said works for him must be settings on the phone.  But my other apps are happy to connect via mobile data.  Have looke on FitBit app and can't see any settings related to mobile data usage.  Can any one suggest why my Samsung A42 Android phone doesn't seem to connect the FitBit app via mobile data.  I am using a FitBit charge 4 and use it to track my walking.  So when I am away from WiFi signals would like to look at the app on phone. Can any user help me - rather than saying works for me check your phone.  I have checked the phone settings as far as i can see.  Any ideas welcome.  Thanks
