Fitbit Charge 2 Screen Keeps Going Black and Not Holding It's Charge?

I have had my Fitbit Charge 2 since January 2018. I made this purchase from the fitbit store with an extended warranty. The Band Started giving trouble by not staying locked, in July of 2018. I resolved that issue by purchasing a new band. However, yesterday I noticed that the numbers on the fitbit devise started to appear broken up. Now this morning, the screen is completely black. I put the device to charge. It indicated that it was charged fully. Yet when I put it on, in less than 20 mins the screen is black again. I made sure to clean the charger and the device , then I tried to charge it again. It appeared to be fully charged and working, then the screen goes black again! I once again tried to recharge the fitbit. This time I tried to restart the fitbit. I went through the troubleshooting process. It once again appeared to be fully charged, but when I put it on; in less tgan 20 mins the screen is black again? Please advise.

Ok....Addendum to previous post from earlier. After, The Blank Screen this Morning around 7am, Fitbit not holding a charge past 20mins, doing all of the suggested troubleshooting to restart the Fitbit, contacting customer support. Now! The green lights on the back are totally out! It appears the Fitbit Charge 2 Teacker is Dead. I have had this tracker since January 2018. Which means it only lasted 18 months! The warranty is of course only valid for 1 year. The tracker is very helpful to me in managing my health and wellness goals. However, these devices are expensive and should have the longevity to match the price! For Someone like myself who is battling Cancer with high medical bills. To have to purchase a new  tracker every 18 months because of the poor craftmanship is very disappointing!

Hi @Campy72  you said in the first post that you purchased the extended warranty. Doesn't that usually go thru Square Trade? You should get with them about this issue.

Glad you're with us and hoping the best for you while you fight that cancer. Take care of yourself.

@Campy72  Square Trade should help you out. I used them once a long time ago and they responded quickly.
