Fitbit Charge 2 battery dead after hot tub

I went in a hot tub and now my Fitbit Charge 2 won’t work. The battery is dead and won’t re-charge… Is it broken forever? Or can I fix it with a new battery? I thought it was waterproof (it has a swim setting after all!) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi @Chloemusson  the Charge 2 is splash proof, so it can't go in the water. Sorry you thought it was waterproof, but it isn't.  It can't handle the heat, as it can't work beyond 113 degrees F. You can read about it in the Charge 2 user manual, page 32 - click to see. There are no replacement parts for these devices. If you can, try putting the Fitbit into a dry bowl of rice for at least 48 hours to remove the moisture. Then clean the connectors and try to do a restart while it's charging. No guarantee it will come back to life, but it's worth a shot.
