So sad. My fitbit charge 2 screen was frozen. I tried all methods from the help section but can't fix it. Also, I let the battery ran dry and charge. The screen remains frozen.
Read from forum, this is not an isolated issue ... many users have similar problem.
Should I get a new tracker, looking at fitbit insire hr, but worry if it will have similar issue. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. It looks like an update started taking place while I was at lunch at work and didn't notice. The connection was broken and now my screen is frozen. Trying the restart instructions doesn't help. I saw a suggestion to unpair the device from the phone and then reinstall it. The app sees the new device, but since the screen is frozen I can't receive the four digit number to finish the install.

Hi my Fibit screen changed from frozen to snowy. Still frozen though.
Fitbit contacted me, and seems like nothing much can be done. Also, not getting any rebates etc, (not that I expected any).
Having a tracker for 2 years, this has become part of my life style (I did wake up at night and check time easily with my Fitbit).
I already completed some research and looking at my next tracker, both Inspire HR (mostly 5 days battery life), and Charge 3 (price and concern of issues with Charge 2) are out of my list now ...
Thank you.

I have the exact same issue!
Unable to reboot the device and now I have no way to reconnect it to the app, as I cannot see the 4 digit pin.
Why does this happen?
