I received my Fitbit Chrage 2 for Christmas this past year. For the past month or so I’ve been having problems with it turning off even with a full battery and it won’t stay synced with my phone. When it turns off it won’t turn back on until it is plugged back into the charging cable. I’ve made sure everything is updated and it still doesn’t help. I don’t think it should be doing this with it only being around 5 months old.

Don't you worry, let me give you a hand on this. 😉 Regarding the constant turning off issue that you are experimenting with your Charge 2, if you haven't, I'd like you to restart your Charge 2 by following the instructions in this post. Then fully charge it.
Now about the syncing issues that you are experimenting with it, please try the troubleshooting stated in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync.

Ok, I restarted my Fitbit then fully charged it again. I wore it today and it turned off completely black again and wouldn’t turn back on until I plugged it back into the charger

Because it’s five months old, you’re under warranty still. It happened to me after 17 months and I’m deviceless now.

Dont buy Fitbit
Keeps shutting down I hook it back up to charger and it shuts down again
Later .I spent 100 dollars for this on sale bestbuy and 17 months later it's no good
