Hi,
Today I purchased a Fitbit Charge 2 Hr and when setting up the device it will not connect to the phone past the tracker being found and inputting the 4 digit code from the tracker to the phone... It just comes up connecting and then nothing happens or it goes back to the original fitbit screen where you get the option to pair a device!
I have tried resetting the tracker and the phone including Bluetooth but no. Joy! Could it be a problem with the tracker?
Hope someone can help! Many thanks in advance 👍

Hi @MichaelC993. I’d be happy to try to help. Please tell me ... which phone are you trying to connect to?

Hi,
@carolb thanks I have tried setup on both a Samsung J3 phone and Samsung A5. I'm still getting used to using this page so apologies if you get this message twice! 😊

Hi @MichaelC993. Don’t worry about the double posting. It’s happens.
Your J3 is definitely on the Supported Devices list so that is not the problem with that phone. There are a variety of things that could be causing the problem connecting to the J3. Please tap here for full instructions and suggestions. Let us know how it goes.

@MichaelC993 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't syncing with your phones. Additionally to @SunsetRunner suggestions you can try clearing the bluetooth link between your phone and your Charge 2 by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
Let me know how it goes!

I'm having the same problems. I have a Samsung J3 which has been syncing with my Charge 2 until a few days ago. The last sync was on 15th Feb, and since then nothing I have tried has fixed this. Has there been a software update that has caused syncing to stop working?

Yay I fixed it! Well, sort of. The only thing I hadn't already tried was uninstalling the app from the phone and then reinstalling it. I did that and now it's all working again.
