Yesterday, after going for a run and doing around 11,000 steps, I removed my Fitbit Charge 2 and placed it on my bedside cabinet. When I went to bed, I checked my Fitbit and it still said around 11,000 steps. However, when I went to sync it with the app on my Huawei P20 Pro phone (Android), the app showed 24,975 steps. So I checked my Fitbit and that also said 24,975 steps. I checked the app and it said I had done 13,684 steps and 8.1 miles between 21:15 and 21:30. At that time, my Fitbit was still on my bedside cabinet and I was downstairs. How incredible that I managed to do 13,684 steps and cover 8.1 miles in 15 minutes while sitting down. This is not the first time this has happened so I obviously cannot rely on my Fitbit to provide accurate readings. I am quite certain once my Fitbit needs replacing, I will not be purchasing another one.
