I had a fall off my bike yesterday. I didn’t notice til this morning but my Fitbit 2 screen is stuck on yesterday’s date, stats etc. I tried a soft reset and then a full hard reset as described online, but no joy. The screen goes blank but then back to yesterday’s home display. Is there any hope?

You can try a couple more restarts 3 seems to do the trick. But if not then contact support to see your options. Help link at top of forum

I’ve tried many times with no luck. The display did shift by one day, which gave me hope, but since then it gradually lost lines of light in the display until there is virtually nothing.
Strangely, it still seems to be syncing perfectly with the app, so I can access all up to data on my phone. However, I will have to give up if I can’t fix the display.
next stop, Customer Support I guess, though not with much hope.
