So my Charge 3 decided to die this past weekend after cutting the grass. It started giving me erratic buzzes and then the screen started flashing off and on continually. I plugged it in and when I held the button down it would reset with the happy face, but as soon as I took it off power it would turn off.
I think well that's unfortunate because my Charge 2 lasted considerably longer. I call and my Charge 3 missed the factory warranty by two months; shucks. So they offer me a 25% discount but when I open the page I notice the new Charge 4 is not eligible for the discount. I call Fitbit and they say it is because it is new and thus ineligible for discounts.
I decide I'll just buy another Charge 3 at the 25% discounted rate, but on a whim I check the Fitbit website before I do. Look at the screenshots below:
The first one is Fitbit selling the Charge 3 for $99.95 on their actual website, and the second is them selling me my 25% discount for $97.46. So I save a whopping $2.49 with the discount for my Charge 3 that should have lasted a lot longer than a year and two months.
I have been with Fitbit since the Charge HR, and over the years the customer service has continually declined. Very disappointing as I remember receiving excellent service when my Charge HR band failed probably six years ago now.

I agree with everything you said. I’m also going through a similar dilemma. My charge 3 blanked out yesterday out of the blue. Resetting it doesn’t help. I’m out of warranty by only 5 weeks. I can buy a charge 3 without a discount from a best buy or a department store for the same price they are offering with discount. So no benefit there. They need to acknowledge that this problem needs to be addressed. Right now they’re basically ignoring their customers.

Same exact thing happened to my monitor two days ago. I do not think this is “accidental” or “coincidence”. I will not be buying a Fitbit again... I’ll try other brands, they may last longer!
