Fitbit Charge 3 display is grey and too dim

Hi!

Last week my fitbit charge 3 went bananas and was showing far too high heart rate (giving me information to relax!, I had 556 active minutes just sitting on my work chair all day!!). I reset my device several times, but all the same, too hight heart rate. after 3 days it got normal again by itself. But today my display went grey and I cannot see the numbers properly, I have reset my fitbit, and tried to change clock face, but it the same grey background. The touch display still works though, but difficult to see. I guess my fitbit is about 1 year or maybe 1 year and a half old...

Does anyone have a clue what this is?

Best regards

@GG007 I hope you are doing fine.

Let me help you with your Charge 3. Have you tried any troubleshoots with your device? I suggest you restart your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Let me know how it goes.

I am having the same problem. and have charged and restarted multiple times since this started. Every now and then it's bright, but not when I've done anything. Since it very often thinks the quiet time of reading before bed is when I'm sleeping (and that I get up when I actually go to bed), I wondered if that might be the problem and if it thinks I'm sleeping whenever I'm sitting sewing or reading. But it's still faded when I'm obviously active. The pale light is easy enough to read in the dark. It fades as the light gets brighter. It's impossible to see at all in lamplight or sunlight.

Hi! I have tried that several times, it is the same, grey/white background and some horizontal "black" lines going across the screen. Also the battery capacity has gone from lasting approximately 6-7 days, to last only 2 or 3 days now.
