Hi there @Blackboard1964. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with the brigthness on your Fitbit Charge 3.
It could be that you just need to adjust the brightness of your tracker. For more information on how to do this, please check @MarreFitbit post here. Hope this helps and let me know if you need more help!
PS. I moved your post to the Charge 3 board for categorization purposes.

I have the same problem. The screen is too clear and I can hardly see ... I've restarted several times, I've already changed the design on the display and nothing!

Is there any other way to fix? Not being able to read the screen pretty much makes it garbage.

I think there is a bug in the LED screen sensor. I can see that many users replaced their ch3. I had the same problem and to get full brightness I set the display to Auto but does not work all the times as it should be. I think the bug is in the normal brightness sitting because it dims it.

Thanks for fix. Normal setting is dim and dim is off. Auto setting is now brightness back to normal. I can see screen now. 😁

What really bugs me is it's too hard to read my messages. The text part of the message preview is really dim, but the descriptions under it, example, "Today", is bright. The brightness settings seem to be "Normal" or Auto. Neither makes it brighter.
And then having the text so small along with being dim, makes it impossible to read much of the time.

Unfortunately this is a major problem affecting a large number of Charge 3 devices and Fitbit does not seem to be motivated to address it. My tracker is virtually worthless. I can't see anything on the screen. I have to look at the app to see stats. Really the only thing I find it useful for is the alarm. I am stuck with it until I can afford something else to replace it. (Which will NOT be a Fitbit product after the poor experience I have had with my Charge 3).
I went through all of the steps that customer service suggested, to no avail. Then I was told it was a software bug that would be addressed in an update. I believe now that I was lied to in order for the warranty period to lapse.
