Hello, today, my Fitbit Charge 3, which was perfectly running for a week, was frozen. Restart first didn‘t work. Black screen, nothing happened. It did not show the charging symbol. Then I connected it to my MacBook. Suddenly it woke up. So what will happen when I don‘t have a MacBook to wake up my Chaarge 3?
By the way, this happened 1 day after I installed the new firmware. A bug?

How can I unfreeze my Fitbit Charge 3. I’ve plugged it in to charge and this hasn’t worked ?

My FitBit Charge 3 was frozen. I attempted to reset it by attaching to its charger and holding the button down for 8 seconds, it seemed to start the reset and showed a horizontal progress bar, but froze when the progress bar was completely white. Now it has been frozen for 10 minutes, displaying only the horizontal white bar. I did try to repeat the reset, with the same results.

I have the exact same problem as MaryC3D (post above) - frozen, no battery icon when plugged to charger, several attempts to reset by powering off does not clear the problem, will not sync to phone (phone searches but cannot find the fitbit). The smile face will come on the screen but it does nothing other than vibrate. It appears your firmware update bricked several of these...mine is 4 months old and it must be under warranty. How do I get a replacement?

Me and my family have been using fitbit devices since the original products (including the scale). I have never had any technical issues. I then upgrade to the Charge 3. It keeps locking up. The reset procedure does work but that is an unacceptable long term solution. I then read that upgrading the firmware would eliminate the issue. It locked up 2 days later. If it is a hardware issue, I want a replacement since only bought in May. If it is a software issue, I want a fix. I am posting mainly to make others aware that they are not the only ones experience this issue even after upgrading the firmware. It would be helpful if fitbit would give more details on the issue -- technical details including stating whether it is a hardware issue or a software bug that they are still trying to address.

Mine too. I think I have tried every suggestion on the forum and my screen is still blank!

This did not help. The battery icon never appeared after inserting Fitbit in to cradle.

I contacted FITBIT directly. And as mine was still under warranty they are sending me a new one. Before that I tried everything, including changing the clock face. Mine still vibrates and updates the app on my cell. I just can't read the Fitbit itself. I actually had some problems with it shortly after my husband purchased it. Same problem but it resolved itself after I left it on the cradle for 2 days. I tried this as well but to no avail. I think it was just built with something wrong inside. If you can just call them directly.

Everyone should read your post and follow your advice. This is an obvious charge 3 issue. My first Fitbit did not freeze up until it was older. My charge 3 has done it from the outset. But the reset has always worked for me. Thanks for your post and everyone CALL FITBIT.
