My charge 3 suddenly has a mind of its own. After charging it last time, features on my Fitbit stopped working. The lighting dimmed, I no longer have the tap feature and isnt updating my activity properly. It also doesn't give me the fireworks/disco ball etc for 10K steps. I honestly dont know what went wrong.

Thank you for the detailed information. If the screen is dimmed, I recommend making sure that Sleep mode isn't activated, having this setting activated, makes the screen's brightness dimmer, turning your wrist won't cause the tracker's screen to turn on and notifications don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
If that doesn't work, I suggest you to perform a restart to your Charge 3 by following the instructions here. Also, if your Charge 3 is experiencing any syncing inconvenience, please refer to: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
