I gifted my wife a Fitbit charge 4 for Christmas last year. Today she came home with it in a sandwich bag. The band connector had broken. After researching, I thought it may be a simple fix. This wasn't the case. The threaded mounts on the connector had broken off so replacement wasn't an option. Further research showed this was a common issue with this modle. I personally have had a Charge 3 for 4 years with no issue. This product was very disappointing from a company I had came to trust. 4 months out of warranty and it can not be repaired. I understand nothing lasts forever but, for the price, this product should have lasted much longer.

Hi @Scottswife some people have been able to keep using their Charge 4 by getting a wrap around band that encompasses the tracker portion. They say it comes from Amazon and it need only be removed when it requires charging.

I've had the same issue!! TWICE. They replaced the first Charge 4 I had, then the replacement broke 4 months after. IN THE SAME PLACE. They only offered me a 35% discount. I tried to contact customer service to request a higher discount but they wouldn't budge at all. This seems to be a manufacturer's issue but they are not taking responsibility.

Mine broke and wasn’t under warranty anymore. I just got one of those bands from Amazon, mentioned on here. It’s a very ugly
bright shiny plastic. It does seem to work….but makes the watch look cheap. I’m very disappointed that the charge 4 was made so poorly. I completely understand the watch band wearing out overtime but not the connection.

Mine broke the exact same way you described at work today. Super disappointing.
