I have Fitbit charge 4 and the connector where band is attached (plastic connector) has broken. Fitbit provided a replacement of the same and it also resulted in the same problem after few months. I have been offered another replacement with the caveat that there will be no further warranty (so essentially this is my last replacement) or 50% discount on new Fitbit. Question for the community is - Is this the design flaw? I have seen several threads that discuss this and it looks like a common problem. I can not attach new belt since the bel connector is broken.
What would be my best option here? Take a replacement and expect that same problem will happen (it has happened twice already) and at that time buy new Fitbit or pay 50% on a new Fitbit device? Essentially pay anyways for a design flaw from the manufacture?
I asked if I have another options and I have been told that's the best that can be offered. Any inputs from Fitbit would be valuable.

I am in the same boat and thinking that it sure seems like a design flaw that will continue to happen...

My Charge 4 has just done the same thing. Very disappointing because I really like the Charge 4 otherwise.

Mine broke in the same place as well on 4/24/22. There are so many others that have done the same thing. I won’t be purchasing another one.

Definitely a design flaw that will happen. And battery life craps out eventually too. If you are allowed a free replacement, take it for now. And when it dies (which it will shortly), consider switching to a more reputable brand
