Fitbit Charge HR Won't connect to phone

I bought a Fitbit charge HR, but it won't connect to my phone. It is giving me the code, but when it put it in my phone it keeps saying "connecting". I've tried deleting the app and restarting my phone but it is still not working.

I have had the same problem.  I had a back up ChargeHR tracker which used to connect to all my devices and now it doesn't.  I wasn't able to connect it to an iPhone 8, Samsung J7 or a OnePlus phone - tried all three devices.  I used to be able to connect the same tracker to my Samsung J7 so I am guessing that it must be something to do with the FitBit app software.  My backup tracker was barely used (maybe 5 times total) - ridiculous.  I called customer support and the guy said he had a chargeHR (the first one) and he said he wasn't able to connect to his phone either - Samsung Galaxy 7.

Hi Marre,

I went through all of the steps listed above.

I also tried downloading the windows app - I was able to sync the charge HR with my laptop computer, but it has alerted me that the Charge HR needs an update.  I have not been able to update the Charge HR through either my windows fitbit app on my laptop, or through my fitbit app on my iPhone 8. 

I have not been able to pair, or sync the Charge HR with my iphone 8 - any guidance you can provide would be appreciated.
