Fitbit Charge HR battery with lightning bolt.

Hi everyone,

 

I have encountered a problem with my Fitbit Charge HR. Whenever I plug in the charger, it displays a lightning bolt inside of an empty battery. It shows no indication of charging except for the lights which flash twice. Whenever I hold down the button in an attempt to reset it, the lights just flash and it displays a battery with an excalamation mark. When I let go, the symbol just displays the battery with lightning bolt symbol. If anyone has encountered this problem or has a solution, please let me know.
