Fitbit Charge HR dies after a few hours

I charged my charge HR and took it off the charger when it said the battery was full.  I wore it for a few hours before it started flashing the low battery signal.  The app still said it had a full battery though after I synced it (all day sync is off).  What is going on?  I already checked for updates and restarted it.
