My Fitbit charge HR will not turn on. Battery died a couple days ago and I plugged it up to charge it and now it will not turn on. I've tried different wall chargers and plugged it into computer and still nothing. Please help!

Hi, @ctleg24 , welcome to the Community!

When your Fitbit runs out of battery completely, sometimes it needs an extra nudge to get back going again. I would suggest plugging it in to a wall charger, as that will charge is most efficiently. A cell phone charger that will take a USB cable should be fine. If you prefer to charge it using your computer, the charge will be slower, and you should be aware that in most cases it will not get any charge except when the computer is awake and active. Also in most cases it will need to be plugged into a USB port connected directly to the motherboard (i.e. not on a hub, as that is unlikely to provide enough power).

if you are sure your Fitbit has had 2-3 hours charge, try the restart procedure:  while the Fitbit is still plugged in and charging, press and hold the button. The usual advice is to try this for 10-12 seconds, but if the Fitbit is completely unresponsive, sometimes it needs significantly longer -- as much as 20-30 seconds. You may need to repeat this twice more, but in most cases that will bring your tracker back to life.

Hopefully this will get you back going again. Let us know if it works for you!

Thanks! It is working now. While plugged in to wall charger, I wiggled the charger cord while holding down the restart button. The green lights then came on and started working!

Thanks!

Mine didn’t turn on at all as well so I called customer service and they’re going to send me a new one since it was still under warranty.

Hello could I ask how long is the warranty? Mine is doing exactly what yours has done I think mine is under a year old (need to find the receipt)

Hi, I think it’s 2 years! Mine was also under 1 year too. You don’t need your receipt! They’ll just ask for your email you used to register your device and I guess they can see with that. Hope that helped
