What is wrong with this company?  Fitbit app changes on its own dropping the steps. To add insult to injury my Charge 2 quit emitting a bluetooth signal. I guess I'll move to Apple watch.  Spent hours messing with this with no success.

@agentwebb I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing and your Fitbit app losing steps. Could you share more information about the lost steps? Did you manually logged any activities on the affected date? Do you have any third party app linked to your account? I suggest you log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Regarding the syncing issues, what makes you believe that the Charge 2 isn't emitting the bluetooth signal anymore? Couldn't it be just a syncing issue not a disable bluetooth chip (which is way more serious)? You can try the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

I look forward to your reply.
