Hi,
I am new to Fitbit and I’ve really enjoyed the Sleep Score function. However, as of yesterday the app is no longer providing a sleep score. The sleep insights are turned on and are displaying the different stages of sleep, but the analysis as well as the score have simply disappeared.
I have tried logging out and back in, as well as toggling the sleep insights tab. None of this has worked. Can anyone advise me on why this is happening and how to fix it?

Mine is sporadic. No rhyme or reason as to when it works. Grrr!!

I’ve worn a Fitbit for years. I had to get a new one last year. Picked the inspire because it’s still sleek but had the sleep functions. It worked off and on for months. Usually I’d get 3 per week. Since February 10 I have to had a single score. I also read to wear it tighter. Tried that...nothing. Could this be a software issue?

Be sure the heart rate setting is on in your Fitbit

Same exact thing happened to me. i got a sleep score the first night i wore my new charge 3, then never got another sleep score. app shows the sleep pattern, but not sleep stages, and no sleep score.

Here’s a twist to this same scenario I’m being told there is no sleep score because there’s no log
when I go to add a time knowing there is a log (the same existing time) it says the log exist. So it seems like the app is having a an identity crisis of knowing whether or not the log exists at all but in either case I have several days of scores and several days of no scores.
While you were implication in this last post states that it may take a while for the app to register the sleep score the one from two days ago still has not shown up at the one yesterday was there

I had my Fitbit Versa Special Edition for a week before a sleep score was shown, and now I’m not getting it again...I had it for one day. Woke up today and checked and it’s no longer showing sleep score again. Everything is up to date, I have premium, and nothing. Why bother paying for premium service when we aren’t getting the service??

This is what I’ve noticed: I get a sleep score if I leave my iPhone XS display on all night.
If I lock the screen (side button) to “turn off” the phone so that the display goes dark, I only get a summary of the amount of sleep, time awake, time restless. I don’t get a score, graphs, or any detailed analytics.
I think, when the display is ON, my Charge 3 is sending data throughout the night. When my display is OFF, the data is synced when it’s turned on. When that happens, I think it is only sending the data it can store through the night.
Maybe if it works this way for the rest of you then we can identify it as a phone data-collecting/syncing issue.
Please reply so we can figure this out together.

Clarification - the Fitbit app needs to be open as well.
So in order for me to get detailed sleep analytics, I need to:
1. set my phone’s “auto-lock” to “never”
2. open the Fitbit app
3. select the “+” to “begin sleep now”
4. select “end sleep”
The phone display needs to be opened to the Fitbit app the entire night.

I have the same problem.

I'm a new Fitbit user (Versa 2) and seems this has been going on for a long time, ugh. Same problem here. I got a sleep score the first night (even hitting the sleep now button). One week later and it's only scored me twice total. I prefer telling it when I go to sleep because if I just let it auto track, then it's completely wrong usually telling me I only slept for a couple of hours which I know is not true.
As of right now the sleep function is pretty useless. It would be nice to have all of the heart and breathing data. Please fix this Fitbit!

I'll try this on my Android phone and see how it works. Would at least be a workaround until they fix it (if ever).
