THe Fitbit app on my iPhone 6 will not track my exercise anymore. Has not for weeks. I have taken the app off my phone, reinstalled it. Logged out. Logged in. Tried changing the goal. Turned off the auto recognition. Logged out, turned them back on. Reset and recharged the actual Fitbit. Nothing has worked so far. Help please.

Hello @Jobird_2 are you referring to mobile track, this is where the run recording is started in the Fitbit app. I assume that is what your saying .
Or are you saying that exercises recorded by the tracker, do not show up in the app, but do show on the Fitbit.com?

I mean I go workout and the tracker and the app do not recognize that I have worked out. The steps and HR are recognized, but the app says that I haven’t exercised since July 2nd. It’s not picking it up at all anymore, and I forget to push the button on the tracker that I am exercising. It was always auto recognized, and now it is not.

The app itself has no way to recognize a run. it simply displays what the Fitbit server has processed. The magic all happens in the cloud.
So what is this workout .does it last long enough?

It doesn’t matter what the workout activity is. The fact is all of them last longer than 15 minutes and the tracker used to pick up the exercise, and then when syncing the tracker with the app the exercise goal was showing a day of exercise and now it does not. How to fix that is the question.

I have the same problem. The App tracked exercises until Monday (July 16). It stopped tracking them on that day (luckily, I use Runkeeper as well so I know what I ran).
But, it is not tracking any run or walk anymore.

Does the exercise show up in your list of exercises, if they do not, then they will not show up on your daily tile.
Have you tried restarting the tracker .
What I'm simply trying to get you to do is to look into your exercises.
Has the auto detected exetciseesettings bernbchecked recently?
Has anything changed in the way your doing them? Maybe extra breaks .
Some types of exercises are not easily detected .the term exercise and workout are not very descriptive.
My feeling is if one really wants detail data for an exercise, one would want to manually start the exercise on their wrist. This especially goes for running, when an auto detected run will not record distance.

The issue is that something the tracker should be able to do is not working anymore. I'm having the same problem, auto-tracking that worked before is now not working. Do you have a concrete solution to the issue as described other than what the poster has tried already?

In my first post I said I have checked and unchecked the auto detect and logged in and out and rechecked etc., multiple times. Has not worked. I do multiple things for exercise, run, walk, lift weights, elliptical etc etc. They have all been detected before. No need to press the button. I just want it to show I worked out for my weekly goal in tracking exercise. The steps and stuff are in there and being recognized. My daily workout goal is not working. That’s it. Active minutes shows, not recognizing daily workout.

In the first post I also said I have restarted the tracker and that I redid the app on my iPhone. Nothing so far has worked.

I'm having the same problem. I have exercised 3 day so far this week and it says i have only exercised once.

As a fellow Fitbit user, no i do not have a definitive answer, you are more than welcome to contact Fitbit.
My thoughts is if we can get some detail .more than it is a workout, which could mean almost anything, we might be able to help.

I, too, had yesterday's exercise that was not posted. I am very new to Fitbit, having had the Charge 2 for just under a week. When I first received it, it beeped at me when I received text messages, and would show the messages. Now that I've done the recent app update on my phone, it doesn't do that, nor did it track yesterday's workout. What do I do to resolve this?

@LisaL-H are you depending on the auto detect function, if so may we have get some detail on what type of exercise was not tracked?
Is notifications turned on, on the tracker? Hold in the button for two seconds while viewing the clock.
As for notification with the app update, what device is the fitbit app on?
Have you checked the notification settings in the Fitbit app?
My android revoked access when i did the last app update.

Mine is doing same thing. It hasn’t recorded any exercise since last year sometime (months ago).

Mine tracks my walks but I have to enter my aerobics exercise manually and then it doesn't give me accuracy eg I do interval training which gets my heart rate up but entering it manually gives me below zone. I find it quite discouraging because I am not the type of person who really loves doing these types of exercise plus I dance as well but the Fitbit doesn't recognise the increased activity. I have done all the things that have been done by the member who posted the question
