Fitbit app tiles aren’t updating

The Fitbit app’s sleep and steps per hour tiles don’t display the previous day’s data. If I slept 6 hours Friday, Thursday and all previous days also show 6 hours. If I tap the tile to show details, the proper information displays. It is only when viewing the Fitbit main page tiles that it’s wrong. I have restarted the Charge 3 several times. I have deleted the Fitbit app and logged in and out numerous times. I have also told my phone to forget the device and set it up as new, all to no avail. I don’t know if it’s the app or the Charge 3. The Fitbit app is version 2.83 (804). The Charge 3 is version 28.2. I know it’s not a huge problem but it makes me wonder if other data will begin logging incorrectly as well.

On the app, I'm guessing you are using the left and right arrows beside the steps tile to change days.  Those arrows only change the days display for the fields above the horizontal line, i.e. steps, active minutes, calories, distance, floors.

For all the other data below that line, you have to tap the tile to see the historic data for that field.

I realize that is not obviously apparent and commonly causes confusion until you realize the situation.

I agree with both question and answer. I would add a comment that the Sleep Tile on the dashboard shows an arc shape, and also adds the "awake time". The historical record displays similar info as a horizontal bar, but doesn't include the "awake time". I guess it's a matter of preference and familiarity, but I, too, was expecting the dashboard info to change when I scrolled back to the previous day...
