Fitbit app won't download

Hiyaaaa.

I tried to download the app this morning.

However it's coming up with the message, 'Fitbit can't be downloaded' and then error code 190.

I've tried downloading other apps and that works okay, I've got a good internet connection and enough storage room so not sure what to do now.... I've also restarted it a couple of times and cleared the cache.

Any help much appreciated!

@Sophie_C_90 A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that you can't download the Fitbit app. Which phone are you using and what OS version is it running? Try restarting your phone and retry this but if if you are using an Android device please make sure you are saving the app on the phone's memory not on any SD card.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks very much for your help!

How would I download an app to my internal storage rather than SD card?

Other apps seem to download fine, so I'm a bit puzzled...

@Gordokarl Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Fitbit app not downloading. It is odd that you can't download the app. Do you have enough internal storage on your phone? Do you have your iOS up to date (at least for your iPhone version, not sure which is the latest iOS available for it). Try restarting your iPhone and then try downloading the app.

Keep me posted.

My app just suddenly stopped working.  I deleted and attempted to download from App Store.  Where you click to "get" it shows a download but is grayed out.  I have the Versa Lite and loved it right up until now.

You can download the app. That’s the only way I know. My problem was my
phone was out of memory. I upgraded my phone and all is good now.

My proteas not enough memory on my phone.  I upgraded and all is well now. You do need the app to update the Fitbit.

The app won’t download on my phone (iPhone) either, which like in your case, causes problems. I found out, Fitbit requires 12.2 IOS or higher. I had 12.1 so that’s what the problem was. I tried to software update my phone to the newest, but it’s having me wait to update. So I still have no Fitbit app, but I have a feeling once I’m able to update the software to the newest (I think it’s 13.3 IOS or something like that) it will work again 🙂

@Ausiedogfighter It's great to see you in the Community!

Let me help you with your Fitbit app not downloading. Do you get any error message? If you do could you share a screenshot of what you are seeing on your screen? Do you have enough internal memory on your phone? Also try restarting your phone and retry downloading the app.

I look forward to you reply.
