Fitbit brightness got changed and I can't change our back

The other day the brightness on my Fitbit got changed, I don't know how or why Google changed it on me but now I'm trying to change it back and there are no settings in the app to increase the.

Before you all tell me that I can just navigate to the settings on the Fitbit charge 3 and set the brightness, I can't do that and here's why: the brightness is so dim that I can't see anything on the screen and I can't see what to tap on to change the brightness. In other words I need the screen brightness turned up so that I can see the screen to adjust the brightness. I can't believe Google hasn't added this option to the Fitbit app yet on Android.

So if somebody could give me step-by-step instructions something like press button, slide once slide twice slide three times, tap the top half of the screen three times or something like that then I could at least follow those instructions blind and get the screen brightness back.

But without instructions that precise I'm not able to set the brightness on my. So what do I do? Do I forget Fitbit and go with one of their competitors? I really don't know what to do and I need to be able to see my Fitbit during workout so that I can monitor my heart rate.

And before you tell me that Fitbit isn't a medical device and that I shouldn't use it to monitor my heart rate, then why does Fitbit even include a heart rate monitor? I'm not a doctor so I don't need a doctor's heart monitor I just need something to give me a rough idea of where my heart rate is.

And I can't do that because I can't see the screen on my Fitbit charge 3.
