Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Mcfitmcbit, hope you're doing great! The reason why your Charge 2 is not syncing or connecting to your Huawei P20 Lite is because this phone is currently not on our list of supported devicesThis means that our Android team has not yet tested it for compatibility and added it to the list what means that we don't have a estimated date on when it will be added. If the device supports BLE (AKA Bluetooth 4.0), I recommend giving the setup flow a try to see if you can successfully connect your tracker.

If setup does not work, I recommend setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a Windows 10/Mac computer with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 running the Fitbit Software. Our Android team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

But... if you want, we can try some steps that have worked for my sister. She owns a Huawei which is not yet a supported device, but she has tried the following (which I think won't hurt if you try that as well) and she made it:

1. Your phone must not be set to "visible for other devices"
2. Your phone must not be "searching for other devices"

If either of these two things are active, the Fitbit cannot connect.

In other words, you have to set it to invisible, and you have to click the stop button if it is searching for devices. So, Bluetooth should be on, but not doing anything at all in the Bluetooth menu. Then force quit the Fitbit app and it'll sync. At least it has done with my sister's phone for over a month or so.

I'd like to mention, just to be sure, that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance. The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices. Woman Very Happy

Hope the steps work. Don't hesitate to get back to me if you have any questions!

I have aap20 lite and I did this to get it to work and it works perfect....

1 Go To Settings on Your Phone

2 Go To App & Notification

3 All Apps

4 Scroll To Fitbit App

5 Permission Toggle All On

6 Notifications - Make sure Toggle Is On , Make sure Enabled Sync Is on

7 Go to Battery

8 Choose Launch

9 Make Sure Automatically Is Toggled Off , Make sure In Manage Manually Auto Launch , Secondary Launch ,Run In Background Are All Toggled On

10 See if notifications work , You May Need to Restart Your Phone Once , Also You Can Turn Of Notifications Dots , And For Toast Notifications In Status Bar , Worked for me , Have been Getting Notifications for The Past 5 Hours , No Red Warning About Service Not Running , Still a Bit Of Delay in Getting a Notification But Least It's Working , Try It See If It Works For You

Sounds like something I would do to get it to work. I used to have some issues before with other apps and devices and I always used this method to fix it.

Did it really work for you? And did you encounter any issues so far?

I’m asking as I wish to buy a Charge 3 but I have to be sure that there are no issues.

Thanks and have a good day!

Hey there @gregorym, it's nice to see you here! Smiley Very Happy I'm happy to hear you're looking after the Charge 3, I'm also excited to get it!

Note that the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements. Note that the majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products.

If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, I'd recommend giving the setup flow a try, in case you decide to get the Charge 3. If setup does not work, I recommend setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a Windows 10/Mac computer with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 running the Fitbit Software

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

If you purchase your Fitbit through Fitbit.com Store, you have 45 days from the date of purchase to request a full refund. To get more information, please visit: https://www.fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty

I'll be around if you need further assistance!

There is a app you can get from the Google play store sync fix for Fitbit however it only works for a short period  for free and you have to pay one sum for a perm fix. It's allowed me to contect my versa to my Huawei phone (P 20 lite), I just press fix on the app when I have sync issues worked for a few months for me .

For all those who are upset with their purchase due to sync issues with mobile devices, I would recommend you to ask to return the product. I have been holding on to my money until my mobile device (Huawei P20 Lite) is compatible with the Fitbits. The moment that Fitbit fixes this issue, me and many more people will instantly buy a Fitbit, but until then, I won’t be risking purchasing a device.
