Fitbit charge 3 no heart rates during manual recording bike exercise

Hello,

My Fitbit Charge 3 doesn't register heart rate zones when i start a manual recording (with GPS) of an exercise (mtb cycling). When i check my watch during the exercise it shows the heart rate just fine, but in the app no heart rate.

When i open the final activity and select Heart zones, it shows " not enough heart rate data available".

I changed wrists, checked my settings, the watch sits tight, but no luck. 

I'am very disappointed. Heart rates are important for me, so if it cannot register this i need to go and find a watch that can.

Hi Jack,

I have the same issue. If I manually record an exercise on my Samsung Galaxy using GPS, it will give me all the stats BUT the heart rate splits and says "Not enough heart rate data available", which is incredibly frustrating because I can see my heart rate recorded in the chart. I started to think it's an oversight rather than a bug, but then I found a jog I did along the same route recorded at exactly the same time of the day in exactly the same way (i.e. manually tracked with phone app with GPS on) and it does have the splits!

It sounds like it's less of an issue for auto-recognised exercise and as long as the GPS on the phone is on it's quite happy to include the heart-rate date, but as soon as you switch to manual, it conflicts with something and the heart rate data is not added to the workout.

Definitely a bug! 

Before anyone asks: my app was updated on the 9th of June which I believe is the latest release.

You are right. I also have managed to see the heart rate zones (on the same route) just once.

Hopefully they will fix it, but as you mentioned you can link it with the individual heart rate monitoring.

Version of my Charge is 20001.63.5
