Fitbit charge 3 not syncing or holding correct time

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 3 suddenly stopped syncing with my iPhone And is losing time. I followed all troubleshooting suggestions: restarted the Fitbit, turned off Bluetooth, logged out of app and force quit app, turned off phone and restarted after 5 minutes. Bluetooth is not discovering the Fitbit. It is only a year old. Please help!

I did a live chat with Fitbit, great service, double checked everything with me. Going to replace mine due to being in warranty.

Does seem to be a software issue we all seem to have the problem starting around the same time. Good luck

I did not call them yet. I wrote down the phone number. I've been too
frustrated after spending nearly 2 hours this morning trying to solve the
problem. I will call tomorrow morning.

I’m having the same problem since 26th July. My Fitbit is connected via Bluetooth to my iPhone but won’t sync with the Fitbit app.

Interestingly though, I have a set of Amazon Echo Earbuds which last week developed the same problem. Connected fine by Bluetooth but won’t sync with the Amazon Alex app. I’m starting to think there is an iOS issue here!

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately mine is out of warranty. Very frustrating, I’ll keep trying to contact the company for a fix.

I think it’s really strange the amount of fit bit 3 that are playing up, my sister in law is now having trouble with hers! I hope you manage to get sorted. I have sent mine back this morning. X

Morning all Fitbit users experiencing recent issues.
I called Fitbit Support 2 days in a row. Thankfully the wait time to be
connected to a customer rep was very short.
This is what I learnt.
On Tuesday Customer Rep 1 informed me that the Android version 6.0.1 on my
Samsung Galaxy J7 was outdated and this might be the problem. I indicated
that the app was working well with the Android 6.0.1 prior to last
Thursday. Customer Reps 1 said he had made some changes to my account and
I should then be able download an update from Google Play.
I was unable to see any update so I called back on Thursday. Customer Rep 2
also said the Android version was outdated and I was using an older model
phone. 🤔 Thanks. I tried to update the Android version but don't see
an option to do so. So I am still stuck.
So, this is what I think has happened. Fitbit upgraded their app and any
phone running Android version earlier than 7.0.0? will not work with the
updated app. Check your phone's Android version and see if you can update.
This might help solve some of the issues you are having. Hope you
have better luck than me.

Hmm. Except I bought a brand-spanky-new Android phone on Tuesday, and it still can't pair with or sync with the phone - or with the laptop, for that matter.

LaneyC24,

Same problems over and over. I am so frustrated and have wasted an enormous amount of time trying to correct many issues. Out the window it goes!

It’s not the phone that’s the problem. It’s the Fitbit

I talked to soon.....the sync problem is back and now the time issue appeared too as o yesterday. Talked to Fitbit's customer service and they promised to work on this issue, but it might take up to a week or more due to the covid issue.

After that happened to mine it stopped holding a charge and now it doesn’t charge at all. They agreed to send me a emplacement even though it’s a few months beyond the warranty after talking to a supervisor

I am wondering.
-what if Fitbit did not do an unannounced update
-what if blaming the Android update issue is not the root of the problem
-what if ...
I see new phones with updated software experiencing problems.
I guess I will just wait to see what happens.

I have the same issue. I've tried every synching trick that I know for Fitbit, but still does not work. My Android version is 7.0.0, so it doesn't have to do anything with it.

Everything started yesterday morning when I woke up and my Fitbit was completely discharged, even thought on the previous night the charge was over 30%. I did manage to load it up, but since then it's not synching any more and looses time.

I got an update on the Fitbit version on my phone this morning. Even after I restarted my phone, Still doesn't work.
