I got my charge 2 xmas 2017, its been fine until last week or so. Not holding charge at all, like 15 hours or so max. I am not sure if this is the expected life of these things? If its related to the fitbit ap update or if anyone has any ideas how to fix it.

It may be that the battery is dying on you. If you are in Europe then you may still be covered by the fitbit warranty (it runs for 2 years from purchase, 1 year elsewhere). Either way, it might be best to contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com to see if they can help in any way
If they can't fix it they can check your warranty status and advise on your options
