Fitbit for a disabled person?

Is there any way to adjust the settings on the Fitbit for someone who is disabled?  I'm not going to be going on any runs or doing any major workouts because I am unable to do this anymore.  But my Fitbit keeps yelling at me to get up and run.  I still want to track my steps and have it monitor my sleep patterns, but I can't make it happy by going on a jog.

I also use a Walker and I have found the Fitbit does not pick up my steps. I have to use my Walker at ALL TIMES.

having my Fitbit measure low impact exercise would be wonderful. I recently had surgery and my physical therapy exercises, while painful and difficult for me, don’t register. As another participant noted, there are many less abled persons who might appreciate this.

I agree. I purchased a Fitbit but returned it because I use a walker and it would not register anything.

Hi, I am limited in mobility. I would like it to note my more shuffling walk as steps. I can’t stride out but I do ‘walk’ I can’t climb steps but it doesn’t count lift as going upstairs in the programme. I love my FitBit 3 but the 4 was no good for me.

I am so sad that I have just noticed that these requests for a more helpful ‘fit watch’ go back to 2017 and still nothing in 2021!! PLEASE HELP

I agree!  I have Multiple sclerosis and recently my mobility has became worse.  I have to use a walker now to walk and my fit bit versa 2 does not count my steps at all.

a way to have a devise count my steps while I use my walker.  Ihave MS so to walk I need it but enjoy the extra encouragement to reach my dail7y step goal.  except now I don't have that ability due to my arms not "swinging" to count the steps.  To me the ability to take a step is something I will never take for granted and just because I, among many others, can't walk "normal" doesn't mean we shouldnt be able to have the ability to use these devices too.  If that makes sense.

I agree and know exactly what you are saying/feeling.  I use a walker due to mobilityissues from MS.

Need to be able to have a set for 25 steps and hour, that can be increases over time. Pool exercise classes—no  swimming.

Go to your profile, to the left of where you can add your picture there is an arrow select it. It will take you to settings. Halfway down the page you’ll see Wellness and Activity, select that option, then daily steps. Change your daily step goal to what you want to achieve. 10000 is not for everyone. Hope this helps.

I’m not sure if your aware but as a person who now scuffles also there is a part on that app that you can adjust the settings of your stride! I personally went from a 26 I. Stride to a 11 inch stride
