I generally go to the gym for an hour every Monday through Friday.
Today I took an off day to rest and really wasn’t very active but for some reason my Fitbit charge 2 logged more activity and said I burned more calories than my usual day at the gym.
I do 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical and then roughly 30 minutes of weights. On a the average gym day I burn roughly 2500-2800 calories the whole day according to my Fitbit data.
Today it says I’ve burned 3100 and counting (it’s about 11:30 pm now)
i did drive about 20 miles on bumpy roads but I’ve mostly been at a desk or relaxing all day.
Can anyone tell tell me what the reason for this may be?
also, my fit it shows periods of activity for times when I know I was not super active.
